GTL was officially approved and registered as a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) on September 29, 2025,
during the International Astronautical Congress held in Sydney, Australia.
Founded in 1951, the IAF is the world's largest private space cooperation network,
comprising 604 organizations and companies from 82 countries.
Global leaders such as NASA, ESA, Airbus, and SpaceX are active members.
Registration with the IAF signifies that GTL has met international standards,
including technical maturity, international cooperation records, and organizational stability.
This year, the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) and GTL were newly listed as members from South Korea,
contributing to the expansion for the Korean space industry’s international presence.
This official membership implies that GTL's gateway antenna system is recognized as a global industry standard.
GTL intends to continue its efforts to achieve independence in domestic communication infrastructure and participate
in international joint projects to help strengthen South Korea’s position in ground station technology.
