GTL's low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite gateway antenna system has been selected for the Public Procurement Service (PPS)'s “2026 3rd-Round Innovative Product Pilot Purchase” program.
The product is a device that transmits and receives data directly with satellites and tracks fast-moving LEO satellites using an automatic tracking system. It was classified as one of 15 selected products in the digital, AI, and communications category.
Hanbat National University has been designated as the pilot-use institution, and on-site pilot use and field demonstration are scheduled to proceed.
The PPS announced on August 18, 2026 that it had selected 74 innovative products, with a total project budget of KRW 12.7 billion, and 120 public institutions to pilot-use them.
In addition to GTL's LEO satellite gateway antenna system, this third round also selected an AI wearable safety management system that analyzes workers' vital signs in real time, a portable anti-drone system capable of long-range detection and neutralizing drones beyond visual line of sight, and a data-based wearable gait rehabilitation medical device.
The PPS had previously selected 225 innovative products and 357 pilot-use institutions in the first half of 2026. Kang Seong-min, Deputy Administrator of the PPS, said the program aims for the “proactive adoption of advanced innovative technologies.”
